GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ALL RESPECTIVE DOG TRAINERS
Thank you for checking out this website concerning our Dog Obedience Classes
We are presently conducting three (3) series of Dog Obedience Classes a year with time out for
holidays and no classes during the summer. Each series consists of eight (8) weeks of instruction
plus a graduation night with certificates awarded.
Do not feed or water your dog immediately before coming to class. You may take him/her out during
class if necessary, but, away from buildings and sidewalks, please. Bring baggies to pick up
his/her fecal matter and dispose of it in outside trash recepticle or take home for disposal.
Try to exercise your dog at home so that he/she will relieve himself before coming to class. If
he/she has an accident in class, mops and paper towels are available to you.
You are responsible for your dog and his/her behavior. Keep him/her quiet and under control at all
times. If you are unable, after you have been informed of proper techniques, to control your dog,
(e.g., excessive barking, whining, lunging, biting, fighting, etc.) you will be asked to leave the
NO FEMALES IN SEASON!!! You may come to observe without them.
Punctuality and good attendance are important. You must be present at seven (7) classes in order
to receive a certificate at graduation. You will be required to spend 10 minutes to one half hour
daily (except class day) training your dog. Time in class with dog is usually 50 minutes.
Please keep the lead on your dog at all times when he/she is out of the car. This may save his
life. Dogs wear training collars in class. Flea collars are allowed. All dogs must have proper
A training collar that has been approved by the instructor.
A 6 foot leather lead, nylon or fabric are also acceptable. Positively no chain leads or flex
leads. Instructor has leads for purchase at first class at a reasonable price.
